Why Should You Use Blogging In A Classroom?
There are several educational advantages of blogging. First, it helps to build a sense of community for you and your students. Second, it allows all students to be in engaged in the learning process. Including some who may not usually participate. Third, the students and the teacher must communicate in writing and read the postings of others. That is always a good tool for any level or age of learner. Fourth, it promotes creativity and the use of technology. Finally, it connects students to information and knowledge they may not normally be exposed to by just learning from a textbook or the teacher. It becomes a "global experience."

More Blogging
I am considering the best usage of blogging for my 2nd graders. I have spoken to my principal and she is in favor of using this tool in the classroom. Her only concern is internet safety. I have promised her that I will not use students' names and pictures. The students will not be able to post anything without my permission first (they don't have the password). I'm excited to put their hard work on display on a "global" scale.
Blogging
I really have enjoyed blogging, adding photos, and being connected to the "global community." I like it when people post comments to my blog. It makes me feel like my words have meaning to other people.
